Tonight's Speaker: ACA Observatory Director, Ron Kalinoski

  8:00 P.M.
Call to order and introduction of tonight's guest speaker, Ron Kalinoski

Learn about the latest search for extraterrestrials:

Ron's talk will focus on one of the biggest questions facing humankind: Are We Alone? SETI projects have tried to answer this question and we'll look at how these projects have approached the technological challenge. We will also be performing real-time analysis of downloaded data from the Arecibo Radio Telescope. It's not likely, but it is just possible that during the analysis, we may be the first to discover an extraterrestrial signal of intelligent origin. This would be one of the biggest discoveries ever made and change our view of the Universe forever.

  9:00 P.M.
Break.  Have a talk with fellow members about that latest piece of hardware you just read about, the recent
comet, Hubble's latest images, the proposed new telescope in the observatory, Crown Point - or anything else, for that matter.

  9:15 P.M.
Business meeting will be called to order.

10:00 P.M. (approximately)
Meeting will adjourn.
