Event Report by our Observatory Director on Sunday, June
18, 2017 at 11:02 AM:
The skies
cleared last night with very good seeing conditions. The
Great Hercules Cluster and Saturn looked fantastic. We
were able to see five
moons of Saturn, Cassini Division, and some surface
detail on the planet.
We also observed the Ring Nebula, Jupiter, 24 Coma
Bernices, Cor Caroli,
Cat's Eye Nebula, Elliptical Galaxy M87, Bode's
Galaxies, globular cluster
M80, open cluster M4, and globular cluster M3.
All in all a very successful night of observing! |
